Excellence
Joining Rogers Aviation was an unforgettable experience from the very start! I was warmly welcomed by the Human Resource Manager, Frederic Curé, whose friendly demeanor instantly made me feel at home. His genuine enthusiasm for the company and its culture set a positive tone for my journey ahead.
Throughout my first days, I encountered many delightful anecdotes that showcased the camaraderie among the team. One of my favourite aspects has been our Friday happy hours at the office in Ebène. These gatherings not only allow us to unwind but also foster connections and laughter, making the workplace feel like a close-knit community. Overall, my introduction to Rogers Aviation has been filled with warmth, support, and a sense of belonging that I truly cherish!

Arriving at the iconic building which I used to pass by in my childhood: it was my dream to work in a big office.
A memorable moment for me was when Rogers Aviation made MUR100m PAT! We rose from the ashes and rebuilt ourselves from scratch after covid and demonstrated our resilience and agility as one united team.

Back in 1997, fresh out of school, I joined Cargo Express without knowing what to expect. I had no clear idea of where I was headed or what my role within the company would be. The team welcomed me warmly, and it did not take long for me to feel a profound sense of camaraderie and belonging. I was very fortunate to have incredible mentors and colleagues, who generously shared their knowledge and guidance. These few years at Cargo Express were life transformative. This triggered a deep passion within me for the supply chain industry and laid the foundation for my career. I had finally discovered my path; thanks to Cargo Express for my first three years in the professional world.
In January 2020, after many years of exploring different horizons, life brought me full circle, I was back in the Rogers Group, with the amazing Rogers Hospitality Team at Mapou - full of energy, excitement and past experiences. My excitement was however cut short in March 2020 - there came the infamous Covid-19 pandemic. Borders were closed and the hospitality industry came to a standstill. Shortly after, one thing became clear and my fear was gone forever: Rogers Group was built on resilience and forward thinking. New projects and exciting challenges were in the pipeline. Five years later, I look back with immense pride and gratitude on what has been and will be achieved, and how lucky I am to be surrounded by amazing mentors, colleagues and friends. Thank you Rogers Group, Thank you Rogers Hospitality.

Growing up in the heart of Port Louis, Rogers was a brand I often noticed while passing along John Kennedy Street, leaving a lasting impression from an early age. Later, in 2018, when I joined Velogic in Mer Rouge, I vividly remember visiting the fifth floor on a Friday afternoon to collect my contract—a memorable moment that marked the beginning of my journey with the group.
One particularly memorable experience was witnessing the agility and resilience of our team at Velogic (and Rogers) during the pandemic. The logistics sector faced unprecedented challenges, from disrupted supply chains to rapidly changing regulations, yet our team rose to the occasion with remarkable coordination. Across all locations, colleagues supported one another, adapted swiftly, and found innovative solutions to ensure the continuity of operations, even in the most uncertain times. What stood out most was the unwavering commitment from every level of the organization. Leadership provided clear guidance and support, while teams on the ground worked tirelessly to keep goods moving. This period highlighted not just the operational strength of Velogic but also the sense of unity and shared purpose that defines us. It was a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together, even in the face of the most daunting challenges.

I started to work for Veranda Palmar Beach Hotel on 26th October 1998, as Mini club attendant, at an early age of 19 years old. It was hard to adapt for my first 3 months to work in the hotel industry, but gradually I found it fun to interact with other people from different countries. I’ve been promoted to Guest Relation Officer and then to Front Office Supervisor.
I’ve also met my husband at the hotel, he was from the Food and Beverages Department and then he decided to take other challenges. I worked in the Front Office Department for 13 years and decided to move to the housekeeping department for a new experience and indeed it was very different compared to the task from Front Office. There has been a lot of new challenges, but with a positive mind, I’m still here, where I belong to and very happy to be part of this family of Rogers Hospitality for 26 years of service.

I started my career in Rogers group at Heritage Golf Club on 1st August 2016 as bartender. Everything was new to me as it was the first time working in hospitality. There I got great opportunites to develop myself, to learn a lot concerning preparation on cocktail, drinks, and above all sharing great moments working for big competitions like ABMO and others. I was very dedicated to my work and perfom duty with keen interest to the best of my ability. I got the chance to meet with many villa owners and personalities for competitions and events. Cooporate team work was among my best qualities. After covid 19, I was being transfered to Awali hotel where I continued as barman for nearly one year.
In december 2021, I got the offer to work in maintenance department as coordinator, as previously before joining Rogers group I was working in a water engineering company where I earn lots of knowledge of maintenance and water management/water treatment. My duty as coordinator is to manage utilities (water/electricity/gas/diesel), follow up of work, records, and water management. I entertain very good relationship with my collegues in my department as well as other departments, managers and others also. I work to the entire satisfaction of the management.

Being recruited after a job interview in 2007.
One time (among so many others) that marked me was when during the first National COVID-19 confinement I was at Veranda Palmar Beach among a skeleton team that was about to hand over the hotel completely to the Ministry of Health. Same was to be used to be used for isolation of repatriation passengers arriving to Mauritius. Once the hotel was taken over, no employees would be allowed onsite as the zone would be designated as quarantine centre. The context was already a difficult one for all Mauritians, with no projection on what the situation would be in the coming days. And when the time arrived to leave the hotel in the hands of an external third party, we all left the premises with a heavy heart.
Rogers Shipping, a subsidiary of Velogic, has been an integral part of the Mauritian Maritime industry for over 100 years. Established as part of Rogers' diversified business ventures, Rogers Shipping plays a vital role in ship agency services in Mauritius and across the Indian Ocean region. It offers a comprehensive range of maritime services, including port husbandry, crew change, project cargo, vessel chartering, and ship broking. The company is known for its commitment to minimizing vessel turnaround time and ensuring the safety of both the vessel and crew.
Rogers Shipping operates at all major ports in the Indian Ocean, with strategic hubs in Mauritius and Rodrigues. Through partnerships with international shipping lines and strong local expertise, it handles a variety of shipping operations and logistics services, supporting the country's strategic position on the Asia-Europe-Africa shipping routes. Additionally, its integration with Velogic, another Rogers subsidiary, enhances its efficiency in logistics and supply chain management.
In 1909, after the passing of Sir Walter Rogers, the torch of leadership was passed to his grandnephew, Eddy Rogers, along with his wife and his trusted partner, Louis Goupille. This new management team breathed fresh energy into the company, continuing its growth while staying true to its roots in commerce and shipping. With their guidance, Rogers & Co solidified its place as a key player in Mauritius, setting the stage for the company's continued expansion and transformation over the years.

Inspirational
My first memory of Rogers is learning about its role as our parent company and recognising its strong presence in the industry. This connection made me feel a part of a larger, well-established network right from the start.
A particularly memorable moment during my work with the Rogers Group was when I joined the Graduate Leadership Management Training programme, led by Mehul Bhatt, the Managing Director of General Cargo Services Ltd, Velogic Kenya. The programme provided me with a unique opportunity to learn from the leadership team and understand the broader vision of the company. It was a transformative experience that deepened my connection with both General Cargo Services and the Rogers Group, allowing me to grow professionally and personally under the guidance of an inspiring leader.
My journey with Rogers began in 2019 as a Board member of Rogers Capital. This role gave me a clear vision of the Group’s ability to create opportunities that go beyond business and positively impact lives. Experiencing how Rogers’ values: Agility, Engagement, and Excellence, are woven in its culture gave me a deeper understanding of how this Mauritian Group creates meaningful change across industries.
When I first joined Ascencia in 2020 as an Asset Manager, I discovered the heart of the company: its people. Their entrepreneurial mindset, creativity, and resilience became particularly evident during the pandemic, one of the most challenging periods in recent history. Even while the malls were closed, the team worked tirelessly to support tenants and safeguard customers.
Initiatives like the tenant relief plan, the Safe Shopping campaign, and B’Local at 42 Market Street, a space for empowering small businesses at Bagatelle Mall, brought hope and opportunity when it was needed most.
These moments were a reminder of what Rogers stands for: supporting communities and bringing people together. They strengthened my belief in Ascencia’s mission and inspired me to take on the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in January 2024.
Today, Ascencia is more than just a portfolio of shopping malls; it’s about creating unique spaces where people come together to share memorable moments.
We are also concerned about our carbon footprint and aim in mitigating our impact on the environment by implementing various actions such as the use of renewable energy, the sorting of our waste whilst partnering with our tenants to shape a more inclusive and sustainable future.
As Rogers celebrates 125 years of vision and transformation, I am proud to lead Ascencia in carrying this legacy forward. Together, we aim to create spaces that enrich lives, strengthen communities, and ensure that the human stories behind our successes continue to inspire for generations to come.

As a child, I remember hearing the name Rogers talked about at family gatherings. Back then I did not know what Rogers stood for, but it left an impression on my childhood brain that it was a 'larger than life' organization where important people work.
I was moving back to Mauritius after having lived more than a decade abroad. It was equally daunting and exciting to be at the starting line of building a new life. The Rogers Group helped me do that; it offered me a job where I could contribute my experience and new colleagues that helped me fall in love again with the Mauritian culture.

Entering Rogers House as a proud staff with my Rogers polo shirt on.
One memorable moment was during the launch event of Rogers Capital Finance Ltd. As one of the first employees, I felt an overwhelming sense of pride when we unveiled our vision to clients and partners in the stunning Rogers House. Seeing my childhood dream come to life, I remembered my parents' words about the importance of the Rogers Group. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement and hope for our future, and I was honoured to represent a legacy that had shaped so many lives. That day solidified my commitment to the group and reminded me that dreams can indeed become reality with dedication and passion. It was a pivotal moment that underscored not just my personal achievement, but also the collective ambition of our team.

My first memory of Rogers is from my very first day at the Domaine Labourdonnais office on the 2nd of September 2003. It was truly exceptional to start my career in such a beautiful place, surrounded by lush greenery. I was warmly welcomed by Régine Hardy and Virginie de Chateauneuf who were having a chat in the garden, and came to meet me as I was hesitant. They made me feel right at home. Now, after 21 wonderful years with the Rogers Group, I still cherish that feeling of belonging.
Here is how my journey began with Rogers group. I started as an Accounts Clerk, which was my second job in order to gain work experience and support my parents financially. A friend of mine was working in the HR department at the Marina Hotel (which was a hotel in Rogers Group), and we were both pursuing our studies in Human Resources together. Her boss, at that time was Mr. Jean Cyril Jullienne, and he was looking for a HR Assistant and asked my friend about potential candidates. She immediately thought of me and encouraged him to contact me in office. Jean Cyril called me for an interview, and to my surprise, he offered me the position. It was an incredible opportunity that I had never imagined I would receive. When I started in the HR department 21 years back, there were just two of us. Now, with the expansion of the group, we have grown into a large HR team. I am deeply thankful to Jean Cyril for believing in me and giving me that chance. A special 'Thank' to that dear friend too. Since joining the HR department, I have continued to grow and develop professionally. I am grateful to everyone who has played a role in my career journey.

My first memory of Rogers is quite special, especially as I'm new to the company. As a child, I often visited the iconic Rogers building in Port-Louis with my family to plan our travels at the travel agency. Now, seeing how Rogers has expanded into Rogers Capital Technology is truly inspiring. It's amazing to be part of a team that continues to innovate and grow!

It was inspiring to hear about the exciting projects underway and how passionate everyone is about their work. I particularly enjoyed a story someone shared about a successful collaboration that led to a significant breakthrough. It really highlighted the supportive culture here and made me feel like I was joining a family. I'm excited to contribute my own experiences and create more memorable moments as I grow with the team!

Meaningful Change
Every journey has its milestones, but my time at Rogers has been much more than a mere path—it has been a vibrant tapestry woven with memories, growth, and meaningful connections that I will treasure forever. After spending five years in South Africa, I joined SOFAP, a subsidiary of Rogers at the time. The blend of excitement and nervous anticipation I felt on my first day was unforgettable. It marked a fresh start filled with opportunities to learn, contribute, and grow. What stood out to me immediately was the warm welcome I received—the genuine smiles, the camaraderie, and the sense of belonging that set the tone for the remarkable journey that followed.
Among my most treasured memories are the collaborations I shared with my colleagues. Whether brainstorming innovative solutions, overcoming challenges as a team, or enjoying a light-hearted laugh during breaks, these moments of connection were invaluable. My coworkers became more than colleagues; they became my second family. Together, we built an environment that nurtured creativity, support, and success. After a decade at SOFAP, I transitioned to Desbro, another subsidiary of Rogers at the time. This shift marked a pivotal moment in my career. A special project I worked on with my colleagues proved to be not only impactful but also a valuable learning experience. It reinforced the importance of teamwork, determination, and perseverance, leaving me with lessons I carry to this day. I eventually transitioned to Rogers Property, where I gained invaluable insights and knowledge. They say, "Work hard, play harder," and my time there truly reflected this philosophy. While I often worked beyond regular hours, the experience extended far beyond professional growth. It was enriched with countless moments of celebration and joy—be it team outings, festive gatherings, or simple acts of kindness among colleagues. These experiences underscored that a workplace isn’t just about deadlines and tasks; it’s about the people and the relationships that make it special. In 2014, I transitioned to the Rogers Corporate Office in the Legal department — a significant shift after spending much of my career in operational roles. This move introduced me to a completely new environment, pushing me to adapt, build resilience, and broaden my horizons. It became a journey of personal and professional growth, enriched by mentors who guided me, colleagues who supported me, and challenges that motivated me to aim for excellence. I still vividly remember the day the corporate office unveiled its new logo under the theme of "Meaningful Change". As the first to arrive at the office that morning, I was truly mesmerised by the transformation. The vibrant new colors—blue and red—marked a striking departure from tradition, the first such change in decades. We were given small gifts to celebrate the occasion, and I felt an immense sense of pride to be part of this momentous milestone. I was also entrusted with the responsibility of stepping in as the executive secretary for Philippe Espitalier-Noël during his assistant’s holidays, a challenging task that truly tested my abilities. Looking back, I can proudly say, "I did it." Looking back, I am filled with immense gratitude—for the opportunities I was given, the challenges that define and refined me, and the incredible people who made every day meaningful. My time at Rogers has been nothing short of extraordinary. It’s a chapter of my life that I will always reflect on with fondness, pride, and a deep sense of fulfillment.

As a child, I accompanied my mother in Port-Louis at Rogers House to buy air tickets at Air France. I was very much impressed by the prestige surrounding the Rogers and Air France brands as well as the building itself in the bustling capital.
One of the most memorable moments during my time at Rogers has to be our rebranding journey in 2022. Rebranding a company with such a rich history and legacy, one that has been a cornerstone in Mauritius for over a century, was no small task. Rogers is not just a name; it’s an institution. Balancing respect for our past while looking boldly towards the future was an inspiring challenge!
To see the culmination of this work—a fresh identity that still honours where we come from—was truly special. I am especially proud of how the rebranding brought our purpose to life and our promise to be a positive force for change, for 'Meaningful Change'. It was a moment where I felt the pride, commitment, and passion of everyone around me, and it reminded me of why I love what I do.
As we celebrated Rogers’ 125th anniversary, I also had the unique privilege of diving even deeper into the incredible story of this institution. Through the communication campaign, I had the chance to collect moving testimonials from colleagues who have been part of shaping Rogers’ journey. Their stories were personal, heartfelt, and often humbling, reminding me just how connected Rogers is to the very fabric of our nation.
I also had the opportunity to interview current Mauritian leaders and learn more about those who came before us, the past leaders who steered Rogers through decades of change. I realised they all shared something common that deeply inspired me—they weren’t just serving a company, they were serving the country.
This immersion in the group's history through these human stories has deepened my appreciation for Rogers’ role in Mauritius, not just as a business but as a force that has always been tied to the progress and wellbeing of the country and its people. It’s an honour to be part of this ongoing story.

From intern to employee, Rogers Hospitality has provided me with invaluable opportunities to cultivate and expand my knowledge. One of my most memorable experiences was receiving a scholarship to study in Europe. During this time, Rogers allowed me to work remotely from Slovenia while completing my third year of my degree. This flexibility enabled me to seamlessly balance my studies and work while gaining valuable experience. Despite the distance, the collaboration with my team was outstanding; everyone was incredibly supportive, offering guidance and encouragement throughout this adventure.
A key element of Rogers Aviation's growth is BlueSky, a fully accredited IATA travel agency launched in 1952. Initially, it was launched as a network of travel agencies, providing corporate and leisure travel services. In 2007, the BlueSky brand was born from the merger of two prominent travel agencies, Rogers Travel and MTTB, making it a leader in both corporate and leisure travel in the region. BlueSky operates as a major travel service provider across the Indian ocean including Mauritius and Mozambique. It continues to grow its presence as part of Rogers’ commitment to the aviation and hospitality sectors.
The agency offers a wide range of services, including flight bookings, hotel reservations, car rentals, travel insurance, visa services, tailor-made holiday packages, and 24/7 customer support. Since 1974, BlueSky has held the American Express Global Business Travel franchise for Mauritius, Réunion Island, and Madagascar, providing comprehensive solutions for corporate travel. Additionally, BlueSky is recognized for its sustainability efforts through the Fly Greener initiative, which allows travellers to offset their carbon footprint by investing in eco-friendly projects.

The building! My father used to work in this building when Air Mauritius was based at Rogers House. I often came with him during school holidays and wished I would also work here went I grow up. I would often pause for a moment, imagining myself as part of the vibrant team within those walls. The thought of contributing to such a prestigious company filled me with determination and hope. It was more than just a building; it was a symbol of my ambitions and the future I envisioned for myself.
When I joined the group in 2018, I was pleasantly surprised by the warmth and friendly atmosphere. I remember my pre-onboarding was a lunch with all members of HR team where I got to know them. Another aspect that surprised me when I joined: everyone, regardless of their level, is approachable, and experts are eager to share their knowledge. New ideas that challenge the status quo are always encouraged and welcomed.

It was 2016. I had left behind the polished, ultra-modern luxury of Singapore, where skyscrapers sparkled against the skyline, and everything moved with clockwork precision, from the bustling business districts to the immaculate public spaces. Arriving in Mauritius, the contrast was striking. I was very apprehensive about being able to adapt. But my doubts began to slowly dissolve as soon as I stepped onto the fifth floor of Rogers House and I was Prema at the reception, smiling and looking so welcoming! Then I met more people in the office, and I soon realised that Rogers wasn't just a corporate entity; it was a place filled with genuine warmth and an authentic connection to the island. People spoke with pride, not only about their work but about Mauritius itself. They shared stories of growth and tradition, of challenges and resilience, and, in those conversations, I saw how deeply they valued both progress and heritage. Rogers became more than just an employer; it became my gateway into understanding Mauritius on a level I hadn't anticipated. The company embodied a delicate balance: it embraced Mauritius' natural beauty and traditions, while still aspiring to evolve, innovate and grow.
In my first few weeks at Rogers, we had a meeting with someone in the Hospitality cluster, held at Le Telfair. I had never been there before, and as I walked into the reception area, I paused, captivated by the view stretching out before me. The scene was nothing short of exquisite, and it took my breath away. In that moment, I felt a profound sense of gratitude and pride to be part of a Group that not only owned such a remarkable property but also created this same awe-inspiring experience for guests from around the world.

I clearly remember my first day coming in for an interview at Rogers House. It was December, and Port-Louis was buzzing with holiday activities. But up on the fifth floor, it was so quiet - everyone was out, getting ready for the office party later. After my interview, as I walked through the empty, impressive office, I couldn’t help but think how great it would be to work there. It’s amazing to think back to that day and see how everything has unfolded since then.
One of my most cherished experiences at Rogers Group has been leading the communication of the 'Bouze Zenes' initiative, which has transformed lives in Bel Ombre by empowering our youth. Equally meaningful is my role in the Diversity and Inclusion committee, which we affectionately named 'Comité du Grenier', where we were dedicated to advancing diversity and inclusion within the Group. These roles have allowed me to not only witness but also be part of the meaningful change - fostering a culture of inclusivity and opportunity that resonates deeply with my own values. It's incredibly rewarding to be part of shaping a better future at Rogers.

Notable / trustworthy
Well established and highly esteemed company in Mauritius. Well known in Aviation and Shipping.
My memorable moment was during the first COVID-19 lockdown whereby we are all living an unprecedented time and within a VUCA environment whereby we all had millions of questions and assumptions unanswered, and nobody had a definite answer. We were also transiting from our third to fourth year of operations and migrating from the introductory to our growth stage whereby from one day to the other we reached a stand-still and the business engine haltered. We were looking for answers for our team members and had to be reassuring. As a team we supported and motivated each other with the blessing of our directors, shareholders and our top management team and derived an efficient and productive way to reinvent the business and shifted our model and modus operandi. The whole team showed sheered determination and responded positively to our numerous solicitations and to think out of the box. We initiated BCPs and had regular follow up based on the multiple scenarios in anticipation of the VUCA situation we were all living. We would not have succeeded if there were no clear direction, vision and initiatives taken from a top-down approach and in constant communication with our staff at all levels. We overcame the lockdown period, reinvented ourselves and succeeded in seeking opportunities, rather than casualties while coming back from COVID. The company as a whole bounced back with positive results, and we perceived this period as a game changer to our existing business and thanks to our leadership team for their continuous support & insight throughout the whole process.

Our move from the 3rd floor to a beautifully designed new office on the 5th floor, Rogers House.
My story: ''My journey with Rogers Group began in April 2006, and it has been an incredible experience of growth, connection, and family. When I first joined, I thought I was just working, but I didn't realize I was building lifelong relationships and being part of a supportive community that genuinely cares for each other. It all started at Cerena Group in Trianon, where I worked in the HR department under the leadership of Mr. Bertrand Abraham. After a year, I moved to Rogers House, joining the HR team with Mr. Manish Bundhun as Chief Human Resources Executive. In 2008, I had the opportunity to be among those who moved to our new head office, where I worked in the Communication Department, coordinating our monthly newsletter 'Network' and our prestige magazine 'Presence,' while also collaborating with the Finance Department on publishing our Abridged Results. In August 2013, I transitioned to Rogers Capital Technology Services Ltd (formerly EIS Ltd) as an HR Officer. It was a significant change, and soon after, in November 2013, my life took an unexpected turn when my husband passed away after a brief illness. I was devastated! But I will never forget the love, support and compassion I received from my Rogers family. Mr. Kabir Ruhee, my then-Managing Director, reassured me during my difficult time, saying, "In life, your health comes first, then your family, and third your work. Go take care of your husband and family. They need you now, and we will wait for you." Those words gave me the strength I needed. Our Group CEO, Mr. Philippe Espitalier Noël, called me in person to show his sympathy and Mr. Manish Bundhun and my colleagues collected funds as a sign of their care. I was deeply moved by their actions, and for which I am forever grateful. In 2017, I faced another challenging time, battling depression. Thanks to my family, friends, colleagues, and unwavering faith in God, I overcame this phase. Despite my struggles, in 2018, I was promoted to Human Capital Business Partner for our Technology sector. However, recognizing my health limitations, I requested a reduction in responsibilities to avoid the stress that might trigger a relapse. In 2019, I transitioned to the role of Office Administrator, overseeing facilities across five floors and leading a team of 17 administrative staff. I also had the opportunity to coach them in customer service, grooming, and personal development, thanks to the support of my former boss, Mr. Fabrice Baillache. My passion for sustainability led to a new role in 2022 as Sustainability and Facilities Officer, where I focused on impactful initiatives like supporting NGOs, uplifting women, and collaborating with Junior Achievement Mascareignes and the Fam-Unie Foundation to foster community growth and empower women. Currently, I serve as the Sustainability Champion and Vice-Chairperson on the Health & Safety Committee, demonstrating my dedication to corporate responsibility and employee well-being. My past involvement with our Welfare Committee also speaks to my commitment to a positive workplace culture. I would like to thank Ms. Diya Kinnoo, our Head of HR, for her trust and belief in me. On a happier note, I met my current husband at work back in 2014; we were both working at EIS Ltd, and we married in 2018. Balancing my professional journey at Rogers with my personal life, I have found immense joy and fulfillment. Today, I am a proud mother of a 23-year-old son completing his first degree and an 11-year-old stepdaughter already in college. At Rogers, placing PEOPLE at the heart of our business is what drives our success, and I believe that every team member brings a unique contribution. I have a strong sense of belonging to Rogers Capital and strive to embody our values of Agility, Excellence, and Pioneering in my daily work. I look forward to expanding my knowledge and fostering a culture of sustainability across Rogers Capital. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks. To my former colleagues: Meera Gourdeale, Mary Muthusawmy, and Sandra Lam from Rogers and Company Limited To all my colleagues from ex-EIS Ltd, now Rogers Capital Technology To all my current colleagues at Rogers Capital, particularly those I work closely with: The Rogers Capital HR Team, Jaivina Bauljeewon, Arunah Sookur-Rambarun, Karishma Beharee, Roselle Eleonore, Jayshree Bhikoo, Vinessa Ramsamy, and Sharmila Teelwah. To all my RCMS colleagues on the 2nd floor To the Sustainability Team: Bandish Augnoo, Priscille Noël, and Mickael Appaya To the Property Management Team: Annabelle Koenig, Natheraje Nellapin, and the Security Team. Cheers to all, and HAPPY 125TH ANNIVERSARY TO ROGERS! GOD BLESS!

Excellence
My first memory with Rogers team was to participate with them as an intern at le salon du Prêt-à-Partir.
One of my best experiences at Rogers was to have had the opportunity to work for a major airline at the airport. Beside that, the organised hikes are among the best moments surrounded by a dynamic team.

The first memory of Rogers is vividly tied to the excitement of starting a new chapter in my career.
125 years of Excellence: My personal growth with Rogers. As we celebrate Rogers' 125th anniversary, I find myself reflecting on the incredible growth I've experienced over the past four years. Rogers is known for its logistical expertise, but what truly makes this company stand out is its commitment to developing its employees and fostering professional growth in every aspect of our work. During my time here, one of the most valuable opportunities has been the range of professional skills training Rogers provides. These courses go beyond the technical aspects of logistics, focusing on essential skills that can be applied across all areas of business. I've had the chance to participate in several programs that have made a significant difference in my day-to-day responsibilities and in my interactions with both colleagues and customers. A course that had a profound impact on me was focused on enhancing communication and interpersonal skills. Effective communication is the backbone of strong business relationships, and through this training, I learned techniques to better engage with customers and colleagues alike. It helped me understand how to listen more actively, present information clearly, and navigate difficult conversations with confidence. This has been invaluable in fostering stronger relationships with clients and ensuring their needs are met in a way that leaves a lasting positive impression. Rogers has also provided training on customer relationship management, which has been essential in helping me handle professional dealings with more confidence and ease. This training highlighted the importance of understanding customer needs, anticipating challenges, and consistently delivering solutions that exceed expectations. It's these kinds of activities that have strengthened my ability to build trust and long-term partnerships with our clients. Rogers' emphasis on customer satisfaction is something that truly aligns with my values, and it's rewarding to be part of a team that places such importance on these relationships. Another area of growth has been time management and organisational skills. Rogers encourages us to be more efficient and effective in our work, and the training I received on this subject has enabled me to prioritize my tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of productivity, even when faced with tight schedules. These skills have not only made me more organised but have also improved my ability to manage multiple customer accounts and projects simultaneously. The benefits of these programs extend far beyond just improving my professional capabilities: they have also enriched my overall experience at Rogers. These opportunities for growth and development show that Rogers invests in its people, ensuring that we have the tools and skills necessary to thrive in an ever-evolving industry. It's this commitment to continuous improvement that has made my time at Rogers so fulfilling. As we celebrate 125 years, I look forward to what the future holds. Rogers has built an incredible legacy of excellence, and I am proud to be part of this journey. With the professional skills I've gained and the strong relationships we continue to build with our customers, I know that Rogers is poised for even greater success in the years to come. Here's to Rogers' 125 years of building connections, fostering growth, and delivering exceptional services and to the bright future we are all helping to shape together.

The colleagues who became great friends with whom I shared lots of memories and particular moments even though it has been positive or negative.
While working at Veranda Palmar Beach Hotel, I've encountered some tourists with whom I shared my life objectives and my wish to finish my studies in Switzerland. I finally discovered that they lived near Switzerland and they knew a member of my family living there too.
In 2007, Philippe Espitalier-Noël is appointed CEO of Rogers, succeeding Tim Taylor. Under his leadership, Rogers expanded its portfolio by launching new projects, including luxury hotels and sustainable initiatives. Under his leadership, Rogers has also implemented sustainable practices, such as eco-friendly initiatives and community engagement programs, ensuring that tourism benefits not only visitors but also the local community.

The iconic building when I would visit Caudan during my school holidays and at that time, i used to look at the skyscraper and wished that some day I would get to work at Rogers.
Rogers Capital is one of the first company that I worked for in Mauritius after having lived abroad for 14 years. It was quite a leap of faith as I was not sure if i would be able to adapt with the work environment and if I would be able to meet my employer's expectation. But the people that I have been working with has made work worthwhile and I have not looked back since. Very early on, I implemented the first Graduate Program (Xcelerate Graduate Program for Fiduciary services). The program was very well structured where fresh graduates have the opportunity to be rotate across department within a given time period, were provided with a series of behavioral training (e.g. presentation skills, grooming, customer service etiquette) at the time of joining and were assigned a dedicated Mentor at senior leadership level. The graduates were assessed based on their performance, behavior and attitude at the end of every departmental rotation and at the end of the program, they were required to present a business solution and share their learnings in front of the Managing Director as well as other key senior leadership members. The program was a success as it was an innovative way to integrate new talents to shape our working culture, build a polyvalent talent pool of people who are readily available in the midst of high attrition rate and this also built on our retention strategy by keeping them engaged throughout the program and they even recommended their peers for the next intake. I had the opportunity to present the successful program during the CAP26 presentation for the People Strategy in front of all the leaders of the Rogers Group in the year 2022. This was the highlight of my career in Mauritius and it surely gave me more motivation to work towards excellence in full pioneering spirit at all time. Today, I have also been promoted from the initial role I started from an HRBP to a People Development and Experience Manager which I believe is a step forward towards my career progression.
